Next Meeting: to be announced

New Meeting Schedule

The results of our 2006 ASAP membership survey were overwhelmingly in favour of having meetings called only for a significant event, such as a talk or presentation, rather than holding monthly meetings. Our membership base has grown to include organizations outside of the Calgary area, and it's difficult for these long distance members to attend every event or meeting. We will continue to offer our annual Fashion Show and Showcase, however our monthly meetings will be discontinued.

ASAP has decided to maintain contact with our members using newsletters (physical and email), and through our website. This way distance will not be such a factor if members want to participate in the organization, and they can keep up to date on happenings at their own leisure rather than scheduling time away for lunch or evening meetings. We will still maintain close ties with CAF and HRDC and be the means by which our members can take advantage of the programs they offer. We're very excited to hear from Jean Rivard of HRDC that the forecast for job opportunities in the apparel industry is greater than the supply of students graduating in May 2007.

As part of ASAP's focused new direction, we will be introducing a new and updated Alberta Directory which will list all companies and products within Alberta. This directory will list and be available only to members of ASAP. Please email your information to Anne Livesey or call 403-592-0780.
