Membership listings on the ASAP website is provided to all current members. The ASAP website receives an average of 500-700 hits per day, giving members additional web representation and exposure. ASAP is recognized by the Canadian Apparel Federation (CAF) as Alberta's provincial representative to CAF. Each membership level provides a different level of potential exposure and public contact:
Student Membership - your name and email address listed on the ASAP website
Individual Membership - your name, telephone number, fax number and email address will be listed
Business Membership - your company name, all contact information including phone, fax, email, and website url will appear on the ASAP website as well as a brief description about your company. You can also submit a copy of your logo, or if you have no logo then a photo of your product can be included on the site to help describe what you offer and advertise your business.
Membership allows you the opportunity to be involved with the Annual General Meeting for the Association of Sewn Alberta Products which takes place at the beginning of each year, as well as the annual fashion show.
Access to private members only part of the ASAP website, where member specific information such as meeting minutes, CAF newsletters, and a members classified pages is held. When you sign up as a member to ASAP you'll be given your password and login information to this area.
Members have access to WIN Exports and Trade Team Alberta through Alberta Economic Development.
All ASAP members receive a 10% discount on all PAD software sytems. PAD System's mission is to produce high-tech CAD/CAM solutions that are simple, efficient and flexible for companies and individuals related to the clothing, textile, and leather industries, as well as the 3D graphic design industry. Functioning with Windows and Macintosh, PAD System software is able to satisfy the technical requirements of model makers, designers and other patternmakers while meeting management priorities - that is, reducing costs and improving productivity.
As an ASAP member you would be notified by email of any of the grants or programs available to the sewn products industry by the government. One department that the ASAP closely works with is Alberta Economic Development.
A portion of your ASAP membership goes toward the membership with the Canadian Apparel Federation (CAF). So you also receive all the benefits that the Canadian Apparel Federation (CAF) membership entitles you to, including a variety of discount programs.
